Hello ! *sorry for the late update*
ASSIGNMENTS OVERLOADING !!!haha
Anyway,This is a blog post on our 2 days one night trip to Sabak Bernam !
It's really a good experience for us because we are born to be a "city child" and we have never experience the life in the rural area.^^
First stop :
Pusat Jualan Masri
a shop which sells local snacks and those snacks are processed there too
Us ! Cynthia is holding the welcoming drink (air sirap) prepared by them
Welcoming speech and a brief introduction about their company
THE SNACKSSSS !
We personally bought four packets of snacks from there (yam chips, 2 'kerepek udang'(prawn chips) and banana chips)
They also make a type of rolled cake.*I'm not sure what is it called.SUDDENLY CANNOT RECALL*
oh well,it's nice and we also see them making it.

NEXT STATION :
Paddy Field
Sunny day... SUNNY DAY !
I emphasize on the word "SUNNY" because the sun was really hot there !
we can't even open our eyes wide...and it's like the sun is just above us OMG
I think this is because there is no buildings at the surrounding area so ..NO SHADES PEOPLE ! hahaha

It will be awesome if the weather there is calm n windy at that time LOL

NEXT NEXT STATION :
Our destination ! AIR MANIS HOMESTAY
We were served with banana food ! (apparently all the food are made out of bananas ! ) haha
and then we are separated into groups and each group will have their own foster parents =)
This is the main area where we all gather and eat.
Which is also where we're staying. ^^

THE MOST INTERESTING PART IS....
WE WENT TO SEE FIREFLIES !
at first we did not expect the fireflies to be in such huge amount xD
there are lots of fireflies there. It is really dark so we managed to see them blinking...like christmas tree decoration lightings ! AWESOME
I managed to take this wonderful picture with Deidre's camera.
A normal camera is unable to shot a pic of the fireflies.

there's cat fish,cabbage with potatoes and chicken. The yellow stuff in the middle part is cooked by using coconut and some sugar. i guess. Food are accompanied by their homemade sambal
At first we're quite not used to it. We can see ants crawling on the banana leaves ~ HAHA
But afterall,the food was okay :)
AFTER DINNER,
We have a kuda kepang performance and we also get to see a traditional malay style wedding by ZAFRI & ALYA !! *I will upload the video once i finish editing it ^^*

then we went for a night walk around the village.*kinda scary*
NEXT MORNING:
Let's take a look on some other houses our friends were staying at ~
Mostly traditional kampung houses..because the residence there are mostly malays =)
There is usually lots of fruit planted beside their house
they eat naturally..unlike us
all food eaten by us are mostly processed and unhealthy. We should live in kampung HAHA

the main transportation vehicle used by the villagers is the motorbike.
Almost everyone in the village owns a motorbike.I NEVER SAT ON A MOTORBIKE IN MY ENTIRE LIFE #Failed

such a narrow and long road. Unlike the roads in the big cities,the pathway travelled by them are not packed and crowded. We can rarely see cars passing by.

after the morning walk, we got the chance to try on painting batiks of our own.

Besides that,
Pressed cake making is also going on at the same time.

They are then cooked in a coconut based soup and it is served as our dessert ! YUMMM !

LASTLY,we went for boat rowing ! It was fun ! nice experience ..*some of our friends are actually fishing beside the pond*

After cleaning ourselves,it's time for us to say BYE BYE ~
We felt sad and happy at the same time ! HAHA
Sad : We will surely miss our fun times here with our friends and lecturers. Wonderful bonding time ^^
Happy : We're happy because we finally say BYE BYE to the MOSQUITOES ! FYI,the mosquitoes there are scary ! They attack you in a group and we need mosquito repellent ALL THE TIME ! :/
K,enough with the horrible mosquitoes...
